Kris Boyd remains unconvinced by Philippe Clement, despite Rangers securing a crucial 3-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday, February 16.
The Gers returned to Ibrox with all three points, thanks to two own goals from Jamie McCart and a fortunate second-half strike from Vaclav Cerny. However, despite the positive result, Boyd was left frustrated by Clement’s post-match reaction.
Concerns Over Performance
While Rangers got the win, the performance itself raised eyebrows. Neil Critchley’s Hearts side dominated possession for large spells, creating the better chances throughout the game. This made Clement’s satisfaction with the display somewhat puzzling in Boyd’s eyes.
Fans Relieved, but Questions Remain
There’s no doubt Rangers supporters will be pleased with the result, especially after the disappointing Scottish Cup defeat to Queen’s Park in their previous outing. However, Boyd’s concerns suggest that, despite the win, questions remain about the team’s overall performances under Clement.
